To The Artists

Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso! What a name right? Well, we know this crazy talented man by the shortened name version, Pablo Picasso. I think he must have loved shortening things up to make them easier because even his first word was shortened. Picasso’s first word was “piz” the shortened word for pencil in Spanish ( lapiz ). This makes sense because Picasso is one of the best known Spanish Artist. Well painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright. He even invented the collage! Picasso was one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century and continues to be inspirational. He has left us with not only amazing pieces of art, he has also left some words of wisdom.

“Everything you can imagine is real.”

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist as they grow up.”

“Inspiration does exist, but it has to find you working.”

“Action is the foundational key to all success.”

and my favorite….

“My mother said to me, ‘If you become a soldier, you will become a general. If you are a monk, you will become the pope.’ Instead I was a painter and became Picasso.”

I love these. They really set the tone that we should living by. Success, fun, and being the best you, you can be. Thank you Pablo Picasso for helping me also set the tone for this blog. The journey that leads to my success and failures. The crazy ideas that randomly pop into my head that I want to share with you and showing you the best me I can be. While hopefully also helping you be the best you, you can be. Welcome to Life And Things!

Till next time,

– Carlee
